KytevsBuffer

The Buffer alternative
built around the client, not the channel.

Buffer charges for each connected channel. Kyte gives each brand a workspace with 10 social accounts, approvals and unlimited team members. Choose the model that fits your client roster.

Beyond the queue

The post is one part of the client relationship.

Buffer keeps publishing straightforward. Kyte brings the brief, client review and team work into the same workspace as the posts.

Pricing

Count workspaces instead of channels

In Buffer, one connected social profile is one billable channel. Kyte includes 10 connected accounts in each workspace. Adding an account within that allowance leaves your workspace price unchanged.

How Buffer bills channels

Client sign-off

Send the draft, skip the account setup

Buffer's Team workflow invites reviewers into your organization and gives them channel permissions. Kyte sends a client review link. They can approve or ask for changes without creating another account.

Buffer's client approval workflow

Approvals

Include approvals from the first workspace

Buffer reserves content approval workflows for Team. Kyte Studio includes custom approval stages and client sign-off, even when you manage one workspace. You don't need another plan to start reviewing work.

Onboarding

Get the brand details from the source

Send your client a Kyte onboarding link. Sky asks about their brand, captures their voice and guides account connections. The next person working on the account can read the same brief.

Team

Keep the hand-off with the work

Buffer has notes for conversations about content. Kyte also gives your team chat and tasks with owners and due dates. Keep track of the work around the post, as well as the publishing queue.

Where Buffer might be a better fit

Buffer can be the cheaper and simpler choice. Here's where that matters.

  • A small account footprint. If you manage a few channels and need a queue, per-channel billing can cost less than client workspaces.
  • A free plan. Buffer includes up to three channels and ten queued posts per channel. Kyte offers a 14-day trial.
  • A wider network list and Link in Bio. Buffer supports channels such as Bluesky, Mastodon and Google Business Profile, and includes its Start Page tool.
