Use an approval workflow

Move posts through review, understand Admins can skip and check what Post now can bypass.

Follow your team's steps

  1. Open Workspace settings, then Approval workflow to view the workflow for this workspace.
  2. Open a post and use its workflow action to send it to the next step. The button uses the destination's name, such as Send to Internal review.
  3. Assigned approvers review the content and approve it or request edits. Make any requested changes and send it back for review.
  4. Continue to the workflow's final stage. A Scheduled ending and an Approved ending have different publishing behavior.

What Admins can skip means

In the workflow builder, an approval step has an Admins can skip this step setting. This applies to that step, not to every review in the workspace.

An owner or admin can use the skip action where the workflow allows it. Required steps that do not allow skipping must still finish. An edit request or a change to reviewed content can also block progress.

What happens with Post now

Post now checks the current workflow. An eligible owner or admin can publish through remaining review steps only when those steps allow skipping and the rest of the publish checks pass.

The confirmation names any steps it will skip and says that publishing replaces the scheduled time. Read it before confirming. If a required approval is still missing, complete that review first. Post now does not grant a role extra permissions.
